IB connection problem

Hi,

I use IB connection right now and just download the newest version of NinjaTrader. I only have 2 symbols in one market analyzer and one 1-minute chart linked to market analyzer. The data is 1 day back. However The data downloading is so slow. When I switch between these two symbols, it takes a few minutes before I can see any bars on the chart. Is this normal? Thanks!

Hi Sunnyrain,

This is usaually the case when too much data is requested from IB. Please check your log tab and let me know if you have received any errors.

Hi Michael,

The only errors in the log are a few Session Break error.

I don't understand why you think that too much data is requested from IB. I only have two symbols and I only look for 1 day back of data.

Also is it possible to get most current data on chart first then backfill the historical data at background? So I can use chart trader with the latest data.
