BitCoin (CME) on NT7 - No Data on Chart

Im using Ninjatrader 7 (Demo Account) and having problems loading BTC

Ive done the following:
Reset Instruments
Added BTC 01-18 to Instruments
Changed BRR to BTC

But get no data showing on chart for BTC 01-18

Does anyone know how I fix this issue?

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your post.

The easiest way to do this would be to Uninstall NinjaTrader 7 and reinstall the latest updated version of NinjaTrader 7. The newest version contains updates including the correct symbol mapping for BTC.

I would advise that you upgrade and then reset the instruments as a troubleshooter.

First, to upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:

First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
Go to the Control Panel and Uninstall NinjaTrader 7
Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
Enter your license key and press Submit
Select 'NinjaTrader 7'
Select 'Download'
Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
Lastly, to reset your instruments, please follow the steps below:

Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed
Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK
Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection

Thank you for your post.

I have tested our our test IQFeed Connection and was able to receive live data however you may want to follow up with your Data Provider to ensure that you are able to receive that data.

Hi Dennis,

I have just realised that the data on my BTC chart only updates AFTER I 'reload all historical data'.
Is there a setting I need to check/change so that the data uploads in real time. Thanks.

Depending on your Data Provider/Brokerage you may need an additional enablement to receive real time live data for Bitcoin.

I would suggest following up with your Data Provider and or Broker for more information about receiving the live data for Bitcoin.

Unfortunately Bitcoin live data will not be included in the Demo account. Historical Data will be available however live data will not be.
