Forex Spreads

Hello,

I applied for a Forex Demo account on the website of Ninjatrader Brokerage and FXCM gave me the details to log in. I installed a bid/ask indicator which tells me my spread on EUR/USD is currently sitting at 1, or 0, or sometimes even -1 (FX pairs being quoted on 5th decimal). Yet the FXCM website says there should be a spead of 1.3 on EUR/USD.

Which is accurate? My demo, or the FXCM website? Because there is no use trying strategies with a false spread.

As you've mentioned, the forex demo from our website is provided by FXCM. With that said, there is no central exchange for forex and data providers control the spreads. This means that the exact price may very from different forex data feeds or the same feed on different platforms. The NinjaTrader platform does not manipulate incoming data, and simply shows the data as it is received from the data provider.
