MBT connection problems

    MBT connection problems

    I built a new computer and am having problems getting NJT to connect to MBT Navigator. Downloaded and installed most current version of both. NJT 6.5.1000.5 and Navigator 11.1.0.2. I can connect to Navigator manually but when I try to connect through NJT I get a "login failed: Most likely you do not have installed the recommended version of MBT Navigator......" Deleted the MBT connection and re-created several times. Also, re-installed both pieces of software.

    Hello,

    Please try closing down the Navigator and connect to MBT:File>Connect.

    If this does not work, please email me your account connection information from MBT and I will test it on my PC. Email me "Attn: Ben" and reference this discussion in the email: support at ninjatrader dot com.

      Could we trying some other ideas please. I'm not comfortable emailing my MBT acount information.
      I do have MBT closed when trying to connect through NJT. Also, I am still able to connect using my old computer. I used it to make a couple of trades this morning using chart trader. No, I do not have both systems running at the same time. Old computer is completely turned off when I try to connect with new installation.

        Hello,

        When dealing with connections issues, the situation could be caused by a number of things. Therefore it is necessary to "try" different solutions.

        We test connections for people every day, however we can try different things instead.

        Please review this link and confirm you have set up the connection properly:



        Between each connection attempt please restart NT.

        Also try going to Tools>Options>Misc tab>Repair DB.

        Please send me your log and trace files from Help>Mail to support.

          Spent a couple of hours uninstalling and reinstalling software trying to get it to work. As a last resort I reverted back to a drive image of a clean/virgin windows xp installation. Installed MBT first and then NJT. That fixed it.
