Backup and Restore Issue

I tried to restore a Backup but I had an error with the NinjaScript files. You can see it on the attachment.

Please, could you tell me if there is any way of recovering the NS files from the BackUp?

Hello Plaket,

I not aware of a way to restore the NinjaScript files from the backup file. As the error states, unfortunately they cannot be restored as they would corrupt NinjaTrader.

I suggest to import the NinjaScript files fresh at Control Center-->File-->Utilities-->Import NinjaScript. If you do not have .zip files anymore for the NinjaScript files, please contact the vendor/creator for new files.

The problem is that I am the creator of those files and I was saving them on Ninjatrader.

Sincerely I thought that Backing Up NinjaTrader regularly would be enough in order to keep my information save. I can see know that it is not possible.

I don't understand why this mistake has ocurred (because I had no errors when I did the backup). But I really think that if these kind of things can hapen the backup and restore application should be inspected because clearly it is not working.

For me, I am having almost the same result as not having backed it up.

Likely NinjaScript files contained compiling errors when the backup file was created. If you now compile your NinjaScript files, do they contain any errors? If not, I suggest to create a backup file. Check if you experience the same error again when trying to restore the backup file you just created.
