    Gap of data in charts

    Hello,

Attached you will find 3 charts:

    Chart 1: Time based
    Chart 2: Renko based
    Chart 3: Range based

All of these feeded with the same data period of time, loaded from the same data source, at the same time.

The time based chart is full of data, no any gap in there, all right.
The other 2 charts, shows a GAP between end of day 14/9 to day 19/9. I tried this for many days and ever the same error: gap in renko/range charts between the current day and the four previous days, whereas that time based chart is perfect, no data errors, no gaps.

    Any ideas?

    BR,
    Fede

    Hello Fede,

Can you please tell me to what data feed/broker you connect in NinjaTrader.

Do you load the missing data if you right click in the chart and you select 'Reload All Historical Data'? If not, please exit NinjaTrader and go to Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db and delete the entire cache folder. Start NinjaTrader and check again.

In addition, what NinjaTrader 7 version do you have installed? You can check this at Control Center-->Help-->About (7.0.1000.xx).

Please note that historical tick data is not supported with Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader. You would need to connect to a data feed/broker that supports historical tick data to load the missing data. You can find a matrix at the link under 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider' below that shows all supported data providers and if they support historical tick data.

Ok, in this case, so why It shows the past data, previous to last 4 days? it is historical data too. I see all historical data minus the gap ones.

Could it be you received that data in realtime? If 'Save chart data as historical' is enabled at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Data-tab, NinjaTrader will save all realtime data you receive in charts as historical data.
