Strategy + discretionary trades combined

I have 2 trades in the same instrument and the same direction. 1 trade was entered manually and 1 trade was strategy-generated. So, I have 2 trades on.

If I exit 1 position manually how do I know if I've exited the manually-entered trade or the strategy-entered trade?

I'd like to take the manually-entered trade off and let the strategy exit the other trade.

There is not a specific order tied to your strategy. Your strategy has no idea what your current account position is but instead functions off the assuption that all of the orders it is sending are being filled and cancelled according to its signals.

Therefore your strategy position and account position can vary at times (like when you enter a manual trade) but canceling the manual order will not effect the strategy so long as the end result is a total position that matches the strategy position (in other words so long as they are in sync).
