Hi,
I recently renewed my subscription which had expired due to me being on vacation and the paypal subscription not going through. I subsequently renewed and was given the same licence key.
I have been using NT on the same PC for 8 months with no problems.
When I open NT I get a message:
"Your licence has expired and is reset to 'simulation only mode'."
I reentered the licence key but same problem. I have tried it after disabling all antivirus and the firewall and then again after uninstalling all antivirus software and disabling the firewall, still same problem. I uninstalled NT and reloaded it without success.
I am running NT 6.5 Version 6.5.1000.5, XP with XP Firewall. In the firewall I have an exception allowed for
C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\NinjaTrader.exe
Is this the only exception required? Does the routine that checks the licence key originate from that .exe file? The reason I ask is:
If I enable the firewall but remove the exception for NinjaTrader.exe then it gives me the same message (which I think would indicate it has already gone to the NT site or wherever to check the licence) and then only after clicking OK to that message, NT starts loading and only then does the firewall ask if I wish to unblock NinjaTrader.exe.
In the trace file I get:

On pasting those in there I notice that the EndDate=28/07/2008. Could that be the problem perhaps?
