problem with graph

Hi. I have connected ninja trader with IB. The future of the September bund draws it without problem. But when I try to draw the future of December I get a long bar and it does not graph me. I have reset the instrument but it remains the same.

By default, NinjaTrader automatically merges data from previous expiries in charts. For example, if you create an FGBL 12-17 chart before 9/6/2017, historical data is loaded from the 09-17 expiry. Realtime data is received from the 12-17 expiry. There is a price difference between the two expiry months which causes the long bar.

You can change the rollover dates or disable merging of data to solve the issue.

Please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instrument Manager and type FGBL. Double click the FGBL futures and click Edit. Select the Misc-tab and scroll to the bottom. Click the 'Contract months' setting and then click the '...' button that appears. Select the 12-17 expiry month and change the rollover date to today or an earlier date.

Click OK and remove/re-add the FGBL 12-17 to your instrument list for the change to take effect. You can find instructions at the link below.

Reload historical data in the FGBL 12-17 chart and check if data is loaded as expected.

You can disable the merging of data after you clicked Edit while the FGBL instrument is highlighted in the Instrument Manager. Subsequently set 'Merge policy' to DoNotMerge. Click OK. Remove and re-add the FGBL 12-17 to your instrument list as well and reload historical data in your chart. It will now only load historical data from the 12-17 expiry in the chart.
