    Hello,

You cannot minimize a workspace, but you can open an close a workspace just as easy. I have included basic instructions and a link below that may help you.

One thing to keep an eye to help you understand the workspaces is the Default check. If the check is next to Defualt you are working with the workspace that will open when you open NinjaTrader the next time.

    Creating, Saving and Opening Workspaces:

First, you will go to File--> Workspaces--> New.
Then you will open each chart separately, and then position the charts where you would like them on the monitor. Lastly, you will save them to a workspace you can open each time you use NinjaTrader.
    Create a Workspace
1.Select the menu File > Workspaces > New Workspace
2.A new workspace will be created (unsaved) with a generic title such as "Untitled1"
3.Once you have customized the workspace to your liking you must then save the workspace via File > Workspaces > Save Workspace As... menu
    Save a Workspace
1.Select the menu File > Workspaces > Save Workspace or Save Workspace As...
2.Any changes made to the currently displayed workspace will be saved
    Open a Workspace
1.Select the menu File > Workspaces > Open Workspace...
2.Within the dialog window "Open Workspace" select the workspace you wish to open and press the "OK" button
3.The selected workspace will open, a menu item representing the workspace will be displayed in the menu (see "My Workspace" in above image) and will be set as the currently displayed workspace
Here is link on managing workspaces:

      Customizing workspaces

I, like a few others, (but very few, it seems) must be missing a simple, but key step to creating and managing useful workspaces. My issue is with the instruction: "Once you have customized the workspace to your liking..." which is found in Help and referred to by Support in this Forum. My problem is in the steps required to 'customize the workspace,' not in creating, not in saving. The presenter in the March 27 Advanced Charting webinar breezed through the process of creating a workspace with customized charts, exactly as I need to do, and when I tried to replicate what he did, I found I could not.

Need: To create a workspace with 20-30 charts that can be saved and reopened at any time.

What's happening: I create and save a workspace. With that workspace open, I create charts using my default template. I save the workspace. However, the charts sit in their own separate windows next to/outside of the workspace, but never seem to become part of the workspace. I can overlay the workspace with a chart or two, but they seem to float as separate entities in windows with no real integration within that space.

Is there somewhere in Help files a simple 1, 2, 3 step-by-step guide to creating charts within a workspace to meet this need?

Thank you in advance for going the next level below the statement, "Once you have customized the workspace to your liking..."

        Hi,

We don't have this included in our Help Guide.

If you can send a note to support at ninjatrader dot com and refer to this post, someone will further assist tomorrow.
