This morning I tried to run a strategy across 16 stocks, and three times I loaded the stocks up with strategies running on them. Then I would stop getting my real time qoutes from ameritrade. The first time I had 16 charts open, the second time I loaded them all into the Strategy window in case the issue was all the open charts. I had the same issue and tried this again from the strategy window, then gave up.
My question is if you have any feedback on how many strategies folks run at once, what data feed they do this with, I am not so concerned about my situation since a) my computer is a few years old and b) Ameritrade is not really a datafeed like I would consider IQfeed or something.
I just want to know if under other circumstances there are users using this across a number of stocks at once. Thanks.
