Serialize font and color

I would like to serialize a color and a font for an indicator, and I've followed all the examples I could find, but I keep getting an error, when I attempt to change the color. I'm able to change the font, but when the color is changed it causes an error - the parameter is not valid. The color is also used to draw a RectangleF. Is there an example available using DrawString of a serialized font and color?

Edit: I found the source of the error, and it's working now.
