I have having trouble creating a condition to check if an email was already sent so it does not repeat sending. I am able to get it working correctly with strategies because I can check to see if its long or short to set trigger=true; to stop emails once the trade has been entered. However with the indicators I am not sure how to do this.


if (conditions met)
{
sendmail;
trigger = false;
}

//logic to stop sending emails
if (email sent)
{
trigger = true;
}

Thanks for your post.

You would want to add the bool trigger into your conditions to send the e-mail, for example:

if (e-mail conditions met == true && trigger == true)
{
sendmail;
trigger = false; // set false so only one e-mail per occurrence.
}

if (e-mail conditions met == false && trigger == false)
{
trigger = true; // reset trigger for next occurance of e-mail conditions met
}
