LineAlert issues

I have been trying to get the LineAlert indicator to work for the past couple weeks and can't figure it out. I start a line by pressing F2 or a Ray by pressing F3, I start the line and before I can even set the line the indicator alerts and the line turns red. I've tried this on charts with all of my other indicators and I've tried it with a new chart with only Price plotted. From what I've read several people love this indicator and I haven't seen any other posts from anyone else complaining about it not working correctly. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Hello BReal, and thank you for your question. For reference, I believe you are referring to the LineAlert indicator you can download from the forums here,

If this is the correct indicator, this indicator was developed for version 7.0.1000.6 in September of 2011, and is no longer being actively maintained. NinjaTrader 8 duplicates the functionality of this indicator with its native Alerts functionality. NinjaTrader 7 is also no longer active development, so our goal will be to find work arounds you can add through the NinjaScript editor.

When I attempted to use this on my own, my line did turn red immediately, but I believe this is intentional. It is true that if your LineAlert is enabled before you draw lines, when you draw your first endpoint, LineAlert can respond to this.

That said, when I placed a vertical line on my chart, every time the price crossed above or below the endpoints, I was able to hear an alert chime. I would like to ask you to repeat this simple test, ideally under the Simulated Data Feed so you can control price movement. If the price crossing above or below the top or bottom of the line does not trigger an alert, please let us know so we can make suggestions to you as to how to debug this script based on its behavior on your system.
