Horizontal Line Label

Hi,

When you draw a horizontal line on the chart is it possible to show the price that it is on.

Hello bdg820,

Using NinjaTrader 7, there would not be support way to accomplish this, but there are unsupported ways of accomplishing this.

In the plot override, you could loop through the drawing objects, get the price from the drawing object, and then using the GDI+ graphics library draw text at the x and y values.

Take a look at this script created by a community member found in the file sharing section of the forums as an example.

Am I expected to use an indicator to display values of drawn objects on the right scale??? I REALLY hope not as this is the most mundane feature in all charting programs..

Hello Rashid,

NinjaTrader drawing objects do not draw a Price Marker and we do not offer a supported way to render on the price scale aside from using Plots since Plots include a Price Marker. The indicator could use plots to display something in the price scale, or unsupported custom drawing would have to be used to draw to this area.
