Is there a way to change the Label property of an indicator using code?

Hello kiss987,

The default label for an indicator, as you know, is the indicator's class name followed by the arguments it was created with. There are two ways to change this :

• Override the indicator's ToString method
  • If you would like to take this approach, this example from the forums will help

  • Note that you will instead change DisplayName in NinjaTrader 8. The above example covers this case as well.
• There is a Label property in your chart's indicator properties screen. To bring up this screen, select a chart and press ctrl + i
  • If you would prefer not seeing parameters printed, enclose your label in "double quotes"
  • If you would prefer not having a label, make this field blank

It is a public property. Change it by referencing the property.
