    CrossAbove

    to determine if only the previous bar close crossed above myPrice can I simply use the following condition:

    CrossAbove(Close, myPrice, 2)?

    or does this also include the current bar.

    or do I need to write my own function? if so has anyone already done this?

    Hello delTik, and thank you for your question.

    Provided your CalculateOnBarClose property is set to false, it is possible to specify myPrice dynamically. Checking to see if the previous bar closed above myPrice is actually a simple comparison,

    Code:
    [FONT=Courier New]if (Close[0] > myPrice)
    [FONT=Arial][/FONT][/FONT]

    What you have just specified is shorthand for the following,

    Code:
    [FONT=Courier New]if ( (Close[0] >= myPrice) && (Close[1] <= myPrice) )
    [FONT=Arial]

    Please let us know if there is any other way we can help.
