Candlestick " Blending " Pattern signal/recognition ?

Good Evening,

I am looking for a way in which to be Alerted when very specific " Blended " candlestick patterns emerge .... aka based off of using " Candlestick MATH "

For example .....

The main Patterns I am looking to have " Alert " me are ......

1. Hammer and Inverted Hammer
2. Engulfing candles
3. Piercing candles
4. Dark Cloud Cover
5. Harami
6. Three White Soldiers
7. Three Black Crows

I know what these patterns look like, but it is not necessarily these patterns that I am looking for, I.E. to be alerted to

What I would like to have alerted to me, is when certain Candlesticks , when ( BLENDED ), form an Inverted Hammer, a regular Hammer ( Bullish ), Dojis, etc.

Thank you for the question.

I wanted to further clarify on this to gain better understanding of the question, by the Blended pattern, is that referring to one of the mentioned patterns such as Hammer and Inverted Hammer? Or more specifically X candles blended are equal to Y candlestick pattern?

If so, some of the patterns you had mentioned could be detected using the existing CandlestickPattern indicator that comes with the platform.

A few mentioned were not in the list, those would could potentially could be added to the existing indicator by duplicating the indicator and then further modifying it where needed.

I am looking more towards having a scanner " Alert/Notify " me , when very specific Candlestick Patterns form ( Engulfing, Piercing, Three White Soldiers, Three Black Crowes, etc. )

By having Stocks/Markets in general ( Futures,Forex,Commodities )
this would help in already having the knowledge in knowing that these patterns have just formed, and from there ..... We would Automatically know, that if saywe get an Alert showing that GOOG has just formed an Engulfing ( Bullish ) Pattern .... That the Blending of the Candles needed to make this a Bullish Engulfing Pattern = a Bullish Hammer ( by using Candlestick Math )


So say that Crude Oil is trading at a strong Resistance level, and we get an Alert telling us that a Dark Cloud Cover pattern has just formed .... This is a Bearish pattern , and there by the Blending of the 2 Candlesticks that are needed to form a Bearish Dark Cloud Cover pattern .... the candle that this forms is an " Inverted Hammer " which is a Bearish candle in nature

Thank you for the reply.

For a Scanner or alert, you could still use the built in CandleStickPattern indicator to generate alerts for specific patterns. For any patterns that do not already exist in that indicator, you would need to use custom scripting to accomplish that.

For NT8, the CandleStickPattern is the same or matches NT7, mainly this could be used as a Base for creating your own indicator that checks for any patterns you program it to check for. So long as you have an indicator doing the calculations or checking for patterns, you could then use that to produce alerts or other actions in the platform.

Any way to get this 4 Patterns ....

I want to thank you again for all of your help and in helping me

I looked through the available Candlestick patterns ( the ones by Default ) , and all I am needing is 4 more Candlestick patterns

The 4 Patterns are....

1. Bearish Three Inside Down
2. Bearish Three Outside Down

3. Bullish Three Inside Up
4. Bullish Three Outside Up


I am not a coder and or programmer, so I'm not sure how difficult ( if at all ) it would be to add these 4 patterns to the list ?

Thank you for the question.

Adding the selection for the extra parameters would not be hard, but creating the logic that checks for the patterns would be more difficult.
