Create a candle stick bar of a higher time frame using a lower one
Could someone please point me in the right direction. What I would like to create is a 15min candle stick bar using a 5Min data Series. The reason is that if I simply import a 15Min Data Series into a 5Min chart, then the 15min candle stick bar is centered imperfectly. Perhaps something like this exists already. If so, where please? I checked something called an MTF indicator but it just shows a totally blank 2nd panel.

I know this is an old post, but I am looking to achieve what PaulH posted above. Using a higher time frame box on a lower time frame chart. Does anyone know how to do this or lead me in the right direction? I have been able to recreate it the opposite way showing the lower time frame on the higher time frame chart, but I would like it reversed do to other indicators being used.

Hello gldfinger4,
Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!
Below is a link to an example of a higher time frame plotted on a lower time frame in NinjaTrader 8. The concept would be the same for NinjaTrader 7, however I don't have an example for NinjaTrader 7.
If you wanted to render these are candlesticks, this would have to be custom rendered.
The HeikenAshi indicator included with NinjaTrader 7 has code of custom rendering candles in the Plot() override.
