Enter on Higher Time Frame, Exit on Lower Time Frame

When creating a multi time frame indicator that will reference both 10-min and 5-min charts.

Does that indicator have to be run against the lower time frame ( 5-min ) chart, or can it be run against the higher time frame chart. ( 10-min )?

Lets say the 5-min bar ends at 09:55, and generates an "exit".

Since I'm running the indicator from the 10-min chart, that exit won't be processed until 10:00. Is that correct?

    Hello,

It would depend what BarsInProgress the logic is being run in.

BarsInProgress is reported for each added series and gives a way to execute logic for the 5 minute or for the 10 minute series.

The help guide has a simple example of how this works for applying logic to a specific series.

I look forward to being of further assistance.
