Creating a Log

I am trying to create a log file. To start I tried to use the example "Indicator: Using StreamWriter to write to a text file" (http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ead.php?t=3475) in the forum.

I tried to run in a simple strategy where I only call the Indicator with:

protected override void Initialize()
{
CalculateOnBarClose = true;
}
protected override void OnBarUpdate()
{
SampleStreamWriter();
}
It does not work. What do you think is wrong?

As path I used

private string path = @"D:\\OneDrive\\99 - NinjaTrader\\13 - Log\\LogOMLC.txt";

private string path = @"D:\\OneDrive\\99 - NinjaTrader\\13 - Log\\LogOMLC.txt";

Overdose. The double backslash is used to escape a backslash so that it is read correctly; the "@" is used to create a string literal. You should not be using both: use one or the other.

private string path = "D:\\OneDrive\\99 - NinjaTrader\\13 - Log\\LogOMLC.txt";

or

private string path = @"D:\OneDrive\99 - NinjaTrader\13 - Log\LogOMLC.txt";
