Hiding text on the chart

Hi,

I have an indicator that prints historical buy and sell lines on the chart as shown on the screenshot. Each buy and sell line has attached to it the reasons for the trade which is a few lines of text. I would like have this text available to view however I dont want it clogging up the chart and overlapping each other etc

Originally I though I would summarise the text as much as possible and save it in the label of the lines which are drawn, this way to see the text I could just double click on the line and I would see the text label there. However, the label space isnt big enough to hold the text as I cant scroll through it to see it all.

Can anyone suggest a solution to have the text hidden but can be exposed easily if needed?

Thank you for your post.

You could set an object such as an arrow to the desired area for the text, set this arrow to Auto Scale = True. Then set a text object above the view-able range and set it to Auto Scale = False. That way it is out of sight but can be viewed when you adjust the chart scaling.

Otherwise, a drop down for the text or button to open the text in a form would require unsupported programming in NinjaScript. However, it would be possible to set a button that could open a form with the information. There may be better solutions for this though.

Thanks Patrick. The autoscale solution is actually exactly what I am doing at the moment but its not ideal as the text overlaps when there are multiple text box's in the same area etc...

If anyone can suggest other posts where non-supported code may exist which would help, please share.
