indicator in new class library dll Visual Studio

Hi,

I would like to develop a new indicator in a dll library.

I have imported successfully the bin/Custom solution in Visual studio 2010.
I can add a new indicator or change the indicators's source codes and build the solution and then in the ninja control center->Tools-Edit NinjaScript->Indicator-> I can open and compile one indicator and I can see the new indicator or the changes in the chart.

Now I would like to develop a new indicator in the visual studio in a new Class library Solution or Project but I can't found any sample or document about how to do it. I have tried to do it copying and renaming the Ninjatrader.Custom project and importing but I have a lot error and I dont know how to import the new dll library in the ninjatrader.

Hello Davidgamo,

Thank you for your post.

I would recommend that you build the Indicators first. Then you can copy and past them into the NinjaScript Editor for compilation to confirm the error free syntax and even test them before exporting them.

Once they are good to go you can then use the File -> Utilities -> Export NinjaScript and select your Indicator(s) and export them as a Compiled Assembly. This will export them as a .dll for you automatically.

Please note that you will want a clean and 3rd party free system before exporting. Any extra Dlls in the NinjaTrader Custom folder besides .Custom and .Vendor will be included in the exportation.
