Multi timeframe Indicator with Custom Period Type

I am building an indicator which displays information based on 2 periods. I add the second period in the initialize as follows:

protected override void Initialize()
{

Add(PeriodType.Week, 1);
}

How can I make this PeriodType customizable ?
