Another option would be doing it per panel then with just the regular BackColor call to change.

Vin, you could run a loop and do a BackColor at each historical bar location up to the present.

Not supported because it accesses ChartControl, but you can assign a desired color to ChartControl.BackColor.

You could also select an image file and use it as a background for your chart ....
