Overlaying an Indicator on a price chart

    Hi all,
Is it possible to overlay an indicator on a bar or tic chart , rather than have it in a seperate window below the price / tic chart?
    Thanks

You can do this by setting the indicator's Panel when you are adding it onto the chart. Panel 1 is the price panel.

This currently only applies to indicators that have the same price scale as the price panel (for example: SMA, EMA). In NT7, we will introduce different price scales that allow for overlaying things like MACD and RSI onto the price panel too.

      Hi Josh,
Thanks for the reply. In the indicator section you posted two indicators, one was a Color Stocastic and one was a RSI that can be overlayed on a price chart.
So at present writing an indicator with the overlay feature in the formula is the manner in which to archive this? If so, using the above two indicators as examples, can I just substitute another indicator in thse codes to archive the same . Example I would like to have the macdscalp indicator overlayed on a tic chart?
      Thanks

In theory everything is there to do it, but in practice it can be more difficult then simply replacing the relevant parts. By all means feel free to hack around with the code, but due to bandwidth reasons I cannot direct you in that endeavour.

            Hi MoneyMate8,

All available NinjaScript files are in the File Sharing section. You will want to search through there for anything that fits your bill.
