current data series period type and value

hi - I need to call Add to add an instrument in the Initialize section of an indicator. Is it possible to access the current period type and value (of the chart the indicator is on)?

HI onnb1,

It is not supported to do this, however, use:

BarsPeriod.Id and BarsPeriod.Value.

For example:

Add(Instrument.FullName, BarsPeriod.Id, BarsPeriod.Value);

This would add the same instrument as the primary.
