Help with MultiLines Program

Hello Team,

I like the MultiLines (for Version 7) program that is listed at this site. It draws a maximum of 21 evenly spaced horizontal lines from a midpoint outward. It was submitted by zacharydw00 on 07-13-2010. I started playing with it and it has some software bugs. Not all of the features work correctly, like changing colors and thickness to specific lines. I also noticed that Line 21 is listed twice in the set-up. I don't have the skills to correct this indicator and I was wondering if anyone has already corrected this indicator or if you are willing to correct it for me. I tried contacting zacharydw00 and have not received a response yet.

I would greatly appreciate any help you could offer.

Note that there are two MultiLines programs on this page. I'm using the second one for NT 7. It actually says " Category Version 7 Miscellaneous". I'm assuming it's for NT 7

I've made those mods for you.

Follow these steps to import the NinjaScript:

1. Download the script to your desktop, keep it in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical *Note that on any files that say "File already exists on your PC" that start with an "@" symbol are the ones that came preloaded inside of NinjaTrader so you would say "No" so that you do not override those files.

Hi Chelsea,

I just did a quick validation, only tested changing the color of all 21 lines.
Each line failed the test. I tried to change the line color from "Dark Green" to "Lime", and I couldn't change any of them.

What did you correct? And did you validate your fix?

I added a Set All Lines input. If you set this to False then you can change the individual line colors and width. If you set it to true it changes all of them.

Also, I changed the names of the lines so they are numbered correctly.

Looks like there were multiple mistakes with the line numbers.

I've gone through again and made sure the public data series are also numbered correctly.

Thanks a bunch!!

I didn't notice that you added another input to the settings ... "Set All Lines".
I was able to change all of the line colors and lines widths. Success!

I don't know if you noticed, but there are two Line 21s in the Plots section of the Indicator settings.
The first Line 21 does not change the color or width of the line.
The second Line 21 works correctly.
Is it possible to remove the first Line 21 from the Plots section to clean up the Indicator and remove any confusion?

I didn't notice that you made another update. Sorry.
I was just so excited that when I read your message via my email and not the NT Forum site, I immediately started validating it again with that input set to False.
Now that I went to the NT Forum site, I do see an update file.
I'll check it out again.

I just looked at your final update and it looks excellent!
You eliminated the second Line 21 and you put all the lines in order. Good job.
I really appreciate your support.

I was wondering if I could ask you a favor to make one modification to the program.
The current program is for 21 lines.
Is it possible for you to modify the program and make it for 41 lines?

Thanks for working on this indicator.
I appreciate all of your effort.
I found a software bug in the new program.
Even though you list 41 lines in the Plots section of the indicator settings, it will only recognize 21 lines maximum. Every time I try to change the "Number of lines" in the Parameters section from 21 to something greater, it would not accept it.

Is it possible to get this corrected?

Hi Michael,

Try removing the indicator from the chart and then adding it back.

I did set this to 41 but it may not be reflected until the indicator is removed and readded.

Let me know if that does not work.
