Access Indicator Variables

Hi All,

I'm running a strategy that adds in several indicators. When I open one of those indicators to change a property on the fly, like change the price variable, that variable is not available.

It is available if I'm accessing the indicator directly, not as part of a strategy. I'm guessing there is something I'm doing wrong in the property section of the indicator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello sheimdal,

No, you are not doing anything wrong. When you add in an Indicator in a Strategy this is going to lock the parameters of the Indicator because the Strategy is controlling this. To change those parameters you may disable the strategy, change the parameters inside of the strategy and then re-enable them.

If you would like to do it on the fly then you would have to add the indicator manually to the chart to be able to change them without changing it inside of the Strategy.
