60 minute vs hour MultiTimeframe data with IB

The requests would be same as for the charting engine, your minute based intervals are build from 1 minute base data at all times.

I am running NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.18 live with Interactive Brokers TWS 938.1e. I use lots of multi-timeframe indicators. Some of them add 1-minute data, others 60-min or 120-min data up to 1440-min data.

There are no problems whatsoever, adding those secondary bar series.

All secondary bar series are built by NinjaTrader from 1-min data. The 1-min data is stored in the historical data base, from where NinjaTrader imports it for display on the chart.

I assume that your test indicator does not work properly.

I found out what the problem is!

When I test the strategy in the Strategy Analyzer I set my timeframe only two days back. It seems that when there is not enough days to look at, the higher timeframe are not added and the script fails.

Now I used a whole month (from 1/1 to 1/17) to look at and the script works fine.

I think this is rather strange because even if I were to select one day then it should be able to show 5 sixty minute candles right?

NinjaTrader Moderated, please test this too and confirm.

Ah, I see there is a minimum bars required option too. Ok. You can close this thread. Problem solved
