Dow moving average

I would like to make an indicator that shows the Hull Moving Average on each of the stocks in the Dow Jones. Something that can show how many of the 30 stocks moving average are pointing up vs down. A line indicator in the second panel with a 0 point in the middle, as the line moves above the line it shows the number of stocks that the average is up vs down on the 30 stocks and the reverse when the line goes below. Any ideas as where to start on something like this?

Welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forums.

You would want to start by creating a Multi-Instrument Indicators so that you can add all of the Dow Jones Instruments inside of a single Script. Here is a link to our Help Guide that goes over how to get the started.

Then you would have to average out the values and calculate which ones are above the average. Attached is a sample that does a similar calculation that you may view for a reference.

To Import
1. Download the attached file to your desktop
2. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript
3. Select the downloaded file

Note that on any files that say "File already exists on your PC" that start with an "@" symbol are the ones that came preloaded inside of NinjaTrader so you would say "No" so that you do not override those files.
