    Construct something like a T & S window

    Hi,

I would like to construct a window that looks like the Time and Sales window, but the data in it will be somthing i calculate. For example:

date time some data some data
    10/24/013 8.30 hfhfhhfh fghghfhfg

And this will keep scrolling, just like the T & Swindow.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Zoomer

Have you looked into exporting the details to Excel? If you are this might help:

What about just using the output window and a print statement in onBarUpdate()?

zoomer, would agree that the native output window would probably be the best way to start on this.

Here's a useful tip that would indirectly deal with the topic - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ead.php?t=3418

          Thanks everyone

Thank you for Ll the replies and suggestions.

Excel seems too complicated for my skill level, but output window may be an option.

However, j want the latest text/ data to be displayed in the first row, not at the last row. Can this be done in output window ?

          Thanks !

Currently the output window cannot be configured to reverse the display of incoming text. It will print from top to bottom.

You could write to an external file in any format you want, however this may not give you the speed you desire and you would need a third party text reader that had an auto refresh to update the display in real time: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ead.php?t=3475

From the windows tool bar are you able to locate the T&S window and close it? You could then open up a new T&S window.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the situation, if so please provide me with an image of the window.

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach the file as an attachment.

So just a rightclick in the window > Properties > Reset won't work? That would be my first idea, the other is to close NT and remove the UI.xml file from Documents > NinjaTrader. Then restart and a fresh UI file with the common defaults here would be used.

Correct, or you very (!) carefully edit this entry here in the xml containing your size default change -

                            <Font>Microsoft Sans Serif:xxx:False:False:False:False</Font>

xxx being the size you defaulted to.
