Color current bar

Okay I must be missing something simple? I am trying to color the first bar of every month.

I am on a 1440 minute chart.

Code snippet:

if (Bars.GetDayBar(1)!= null &&
Bars.GetDayBar(1).Time.Month != Time[0].Month)

{
BarColor = monthbarColor;
}

Also tried

BarColorSeries[1] = monthbarColor

where monthbarColor is a user defined color


Nothing shows up on the chart?

Okay, so I was foiled by another indicator on my chart that was coloring bars as well so my coloring was not showing up...that indicator (written by someone else) must be overriding all other indicator bar coloring.

If you have several indicators that produce paintbars, there is none of them overriding the other ones. The outcome simply depends on the order which was used to add the indicators to the chart.

If indicators are implemented correctly, they allow to switch off and on the paintbar feature.
