Can a previously defined Fibonacci Drawing Object Template be selected when creating a Fibonacci retracement or extension from inside an Indicator (in C#) ?

Thank you for the post.

You would not be able to access the Drawing Object Template from the C# code.

However, this has been asked before and we do have a running list of votes to add this feature in the next major release of NinjaTrader.

I will forward this thread to Development to consider for the next major release of NinjaTrader.

Hi, I have the same request. Does next major release mean NT8?

If it is still not possible to LOAD a template, can I instead SET some values (%level, color, dashstyle, thickness) without involving saving/loading xml?

Correct TraderSun, it's considered as enhancement for our next major release NinjaTrader 8, however at this point I could unfortunately not offer an ETA or commitment.

For the programmatic call the default set template would be used, so if you customize that from the UI > it would apply to script generated ones as well.

Custom Fib levels in a chart template are not saved and will revert to default levels when the template is called or a chart is switched to a different instrument.

Seems like being able to save custom objects templates including Fib levels, Time extensions, etc. inside a chart template is a well voted improvement and needs to be seriously considered.

As evident by the published list of improvement in Version 8, there are sadly very few charting improvements other than those related to Window management. Most of the popular indicators such as volume and market profiles, geometric and harmonic patterns, or plotting time-based events (i.e. calendar) into future, etc. provided in competitor's platforms are missing in NT or are relegated to NT EcoSystem third Partners.
