hi
i am building an indicator that can be used on several charts. each chart has its own instrument and time interval. so far the only way i can figure out how to do this is to have an entrable parm that shows the instrument and time interval. then when there is an alert, i check the parm and send out the appropriate .wav file to tell me which chart to look at. usually this works, sometimes it doesn't and i end up with a doorbell sound instead of an audio .wav alert.

do u have a better solution than this?

Hi Bandit,

Thank you for posting.

You can create a user defined input of a string text and use the Alert#.wav to input in.
This will allow you to select different wavs for each of the charts indicators.

Additionally, the Alert() will send the message and chart info to the Alerts window, File -> New -> Alerts...
