Does the Simulated data feed work with custom indicators?

Hi all,

I'm developing a custom indicator for use in the Market Analyzer and it doesn't look like the OnBarUpdate() gets called when using the simulated data feed. I used the wizard to create a pure skeleton but the column doesn't update when I add it. Is this correct or am I missing something?

addendum to message

I just wanted to point out that for this particular indicator I don't use historical values, I'm playing with the individual tick, I just want to get that tick. I understand that there is not historical data available for the simulated feed.

Hello jkmott59,

The Simulated Data Feed will cause the OnBarUpdate() to be called. Are you using the Print() statement to make sure that OnBarUpdate() is being called?

Also, if you place your indicator on a Chart do you get the same results?
