Bars int the future

Hoping for some help.

I want to program an indicator that much like a trend line goes past the current bar in to the future. That instead of using swinghigh and swinglow, it would use the current bar close and go back "X" bars to a previous close. It would not fluctuate between those 2 points. If it works out studying it over time, I will want to include it in my automated strategy.

I am in over my head...

BR, you could look into using a drawn Ray instead here, this would be a trendline basically with one infinite end point, so extended per default -

Is there an indicator with a ray in it already? To see how its coded.
