    Questions Please

Ok, I'm not a programmer, but would like to modify a template someone made (StochasticsPreferredNT7), but modify it so the K% line changes Rising/Falling colors.

    1. Is this permissible to just modify a template?
    2. If so, do I make an addition/change in a word document and then export it to NT as an Indicator? Or how would I get it into NT?
    3. Would I add the word "Color" or "Modify" to the original name?

Since I'm not a programmer, all I'm thinking of trying is based on how the MACD ColoredUPDown template accomplishes it's Rising/Falling line.

So if I copy the format, it seems to me the only mistake I can make is placement of the new info. But if it's wrong, I can delete it with no problem, right? And I can try again, this is if it's legal for me to try this.

(In the meantime, I'll check out the Manual and see if it gives any info on how to get a new/modified Indicator into NT.)

SharonSS, yes if the study was shared as open code it should be ok to modify / amend as long as you keep any existing creator / copyright info in place.

You can just directly modify the script in NT's editor - just open the cody you wish to modiy and make a copy of it first by the right click > Save as command. Then amend your new script as desired and finally hit F5 to compile the changes in.

To get started on this path I would highly suggest reviewing some of the tutorial material first - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...tsub=tutorials
