Higher (Custom) Timeframe - Background

Is there anyway to construct an indicator like the one pictured using the resources available to ninja trader natively? or has someone already developed such a visual tool?

EX: Daily Chart w/ Monthly Background candle etc..

Hello,

You can accomplish this by using a "Box" chart style for the monthly series, and then use the standard candles on the Daily Series.

Make sure to set both the "Daily" and "Monthly" chart panel to the same "Panel 1".

This indicator looks interesting however it does not appear like it is based on the absolute open of the day.
Going further...I'm also interested in the OHLC...suggestions?
