If you are trying to add a secondary series then you can use the Add method to do it. For example if you are trying to add VIX then please use the below code in the Initialize section of the code

Add("^VIX", PeriodType.Minute, 1, MarketDataType.Last);

And you can use the Instruments[1] object to access the value of the secondary series.
