Request - Reference to other Instrument Indicator?

Hi,

I'm trying to develop a custom indicator that will use another instrument as a reference to issue buy and sell orders.

For instance, Whenever the VIX is 5% above its' 10 day MA, I would like to buy the S+P 500, or the N-100, or whatever other security.

But to be designed so as to easily replace the VIX with any other instrument as a reference.

However I am stumped as to how to go about doing this.

I imagine such an indicator has been coded before but I cannot find it anywhere. If anyone knows where it is located it would be greatly appreciated.

I am also lacking in coding skills, so will pay if someone can design such an indicator successfully.

In this case you would use a string and set it up as a user defined input. This would also require making a multi-series indicator. There are samples of multi-series indicators in Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Strategy that come default with NinjaTrader.

If you need help making this, I would suggest a NinjaScript consultant.
