Bollinger as applied to MACD

Im trying to apply a BB to a MACD sub graph.The MACD might be several in periods applied to one scale.

The BB applies to the MACD readings and not the price chart.

I still need to move the actual MACD indicator to the panel as you have shown in the screenshot,correct,and then the histogram seems irrelevent but the other two lines appear somewhat to be acted upon the the BB bands?

Hello,

You can add another instance of the MACD and set both the MACD and the Bollinger to Panel 2 or whichever panel you would like this plotted.

To overlay an indicator on price or another indicator, left click on the indicator and hold down the mouse button. Drag the indicator to the panel you wish for it to be added to and release the mouse button.

The Upper and Lower plot will still be calculated from the middle line of the Bollinger band

am i right in assuming the bolinger is acting on the macd numbers and not the price numbers?

Hello,

Yes, it would be working off the MACD. Any change to the Bollinger lines will be in response to a change in the MACD.
