    Volume[1] always produces a value of "1"

    I have this "if" statement that never fires. Using Visual Studio, on the FIrstTickOfBar readings, all the values are correct except Volume[1]. It always reads "1".

    Is there something different in the Volume study that would make this application not work? I know it works tick by tick, but why would it not get the correct value on FTOB calculations?

    if (FirstTickOfBar)
    {
    if ((Close[1] > Open[4] && sum[1] >= 4 && Volume[1] >= minVolThresh) || (Close[1] > Open[4] && Volume[1] >= maxVolThresh))
    }

    Hello Taddypole,
    Thanks for writing in and I am happy to assist you.

    Can you confirm if you use the below code are you still getting the volume as 1:

    Code:
    protected override void OnBarUpdate()
    {
    	if ( CurrentBar > 1 && FirstTickOfBar)
    		Print("VOL[1] " + this.VOL()[1] + "  Volume[1] " + this.Volume[1]);
    }
    Also, on what instrument you are putting the NinjaScript on.

    I look forward to assisting you further.

      Thank you JoyDeep,

      The print versions work correctly. Can't explain why Visual Studio reads a value of "1".
      I think I found the problem. The minVolThresh was not set properly.

      regards,
