Indicator or Strategy?

I'm creating an indicator that I can make trades from. Should I start as an "Indicator" or as a "Strategy"? Right now I've started as an indicator and i'm having to jump through hoops to be able to call "EnterLong()", etc.

I think it is easier to draw from strategy than place order from indicator

I would recommend a strategy, however please note that submitting orders manually from indicators / strategies is not supported.

If it computes something a little complicated, I'd Make it an indicator.

I guess it would be borderline silly to make an indicator of something that does a simple compare.



Then you can easily reference it in all future strategies.
