adding plots and bar arrays

Hi, I have noticed that if I add plots to display indicator values and adding at the same time multiple instruments using add(instrument, periodtype, period) the indicator values are not shown. If I comment out add(instrument, periodtype, period) then values are shown. Is there any restriction about mixing these two types of add?

Hi Rolf, if you run the version that is not working as you expect, please take a look at the rightmost tab in the NT control center, the log tab : do you see any error message displayed then?

That was a good hint. The log says "Invalid instrument. Either the instrument "EURUSD" does not exist or the specific exchange has not been configuerd. " If I look in the instrument manager, EURUSD is here. I tried then with $EURUSD and this worked. So why do I need to put a $ in front if the instrument manager entry has none?

Glad this worked Rolf, currency symbols require the $ sign in front when called. Same you would see when adding the symbol for example to an instrument list. For indices in contrast this would be a ^ sign.
