Importing Data into my Custom Indicator

I am trying to use New Highs, New Lows, Adv/Decl, as well as, economic data into an indicator I am building and cannot find the right example to use as a guide. I though I needed to use ADD() to bring the specific symbol that correlates to the data needed. For instance, to create a ratio of New Highs/(New Highs + New Lows). I know this is simple. What do you got? Thanks...
