Level II Sample didn't work

I downloaded and installed "Using custom events to output the current Level II data book" provided from the Reference Samples. So I connected to a live broker (TDAmeritrade) and opened a 1 min chart of a stock, then applied this new indicator SampleCustomEvents to the chart.
But I don't see any Level II data printed though the 1-min chart looks good. Do I miss anything here? Thanks.

Hello appleseed,

Are you subscribing to market depth? For TDA, this comes in a separate subscription. To check this create a new level II screen with File > New > Level II.

This isn't working for me either in market replay using data downloaded from Ninja L2 data.
Version 64bit 7.0.1000.4
I'm wondering if this relates to the question I just posted about custom plots and Lists.

I'm not currently having issues with this sample on market replay data. Downloaded ES and YM for 5 - 13-11 and both work well.

• Can you check using the latest release 5?
• Verify market replay is playing back.
• You're using the file intended for version 7
• You're checking functionality using Tools > Output Window

If you're still having issues, let me know the day and time you are checking this for YM and will give a run here.

Sorry Ryan, I'm an idiot. I didn't realize it was all printing to the output window and not the chart. Maybe that is appleseed problem too.

By the way, does simulated data feeder provide Level II data, so I don't have to wait for the live connection during the day?

Yes, the simulated data feed includes level II / Market depth.

Still not working when I use simulated feed.
Here is what I did, not sure what I am missing:
- download and installed SampleCustomEvents indicator with no additional code added;
- with simulate feed connected, open a 1-sec chart (ES). From the chart, applied this new indicator SampleCustomEvents. I saw a line "SampleCustomEvents(ES 03-11 (Second)" shown on the chart, but other than this, I don't see any level II data printed.

- If I open Level II from File -> New -> Level II... -> select Instruments, the data is shown in its level II window.

I am not sure what I may have missed here. Thanks for your help.

Appleseed, go to Tools / Output window while the chart is loaded and running.
Like I said above, I thought it was going to put something on the chart too but it is printing the information to the output window.
It is a sample that is not really meant to be the most useful thing in the world outside of showing how to do some unique things with ninjascript.
