OnBarUpdate() not firing for last bar of End of Day data

While developing a custom indicator, I am noticing that the last bar of End of Day data does not cause OnBarUpdate() to fire. This causes the respective data series Open, High, etc to not reflect the last trading day's data.
I found a similar thread from three years ago (referencing NT 6.5), that stated this problem arises because OnBarUpdate does not fire until at least one tick of the next bar comes through.
How can I force an OnBarUpdate (or some other workaround) so that I can get Open, etc to reflect the last bar's data in End of Day data?

-- I have tried setting CalculateOnBarClose to both true and false, and the last bar is still not appearing within these data series.
-- I have tried this with Kinetick EOD and Yahoo datafeeds. Both do not show the last bar within data series.

You would not be able to force this sorry.

Your best move is to get away from the free connections and use for example the full version of kinetick so you are getting some live data. You can only run strategies live on live data unfortunately.
