Top/point gainer

This hot list function is available in many software and website.
However, if anyone knows the formula for this functional?

The reason I ask this question is because I think that maybe the formula of "point gainer" is somehow correlate the price and volume and this concept could be useful for other formulations.
Furthermore, "point gainer" and the NetChange take the "YesterdayClose" as the reference price which by some points of view could be overestimated(i.e. account the gap).
Though I use "NetSinceOpen" now, I would like to reformulate the "point gainer" as the reference price in "NetSinceOpen".
