    Exporting Indicators

    Dear all,

I am trying to export a custom indicator that I can see on the list of indicators and plot on a NT7 chart. However, when I attempt to export this custom indicator it does not show on the export list of archive indicators. Any ideas why it would be missing on the export archive list.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your note.

This would be because it is protected code and you are not able to export it.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

      Hi,

This is a custom indicator that I programmed myself and just wanted to export it as NT generated zip file instead of sending the .cs file. How can I undo the protection so that it will export?

      Thanks.

What are listed? Are any of your other custom indicators listed, or do all the listed ones start with a "@", or is the list blank?

          Hello,

If this is a custom indicator that you developed. Did you do the development on this PC or on another PC?

This is a custom indicator that I started developing with NT7 new NinjaScript tool from the menu on this PC then edited to add formulas and conditions for plotting the indicator. It plots fine and shows on the indicator list, but does not show on the archive list in the export window to choose for export.

All my other custom indicators will show on the archive list for export (with no '@' or blanks in front of them).

            Thanks Brett and all.

Did you perhaps change the file and / or class name afterwards do it would not be listed with a different name than expected? If you copy the indicator content without the NS wrappers to a new indicator and then recompile, would it then be listed as exportable?

Is the name of the CS file the same as the name of the indicator?
